Paramount was established in 1997 as the first all-Filipino property management company to introduce internationally accepted hospitality industry standards to the local property market. Paramount’s principal stockholders are Emar Corp. and its management team.
The firm’s principals are: Jose Mari del Rosario, President and Chief Executive Officer – With 30+ years of extensive domestic and international management experience in the hospitality industry. Prior to taking his MBA in Cambridge, Massachusetts, he was The Manila Hotel’s General Manager/COO for three (3) years. His hotel career started with Hotel Lausanne Palace (Switzerland), then Peninsula Manila and thereafter Imperial Hotel in Tokyo. He is an alumnus of Cornell University’s General Managers Program.
Dean Y. Cid, Chief Operating Officer – His experience spans 30+ years in both international and local hotel chains with extensive exposure in front desk and operations. He was Front Officer Manger and Duty Manager of Intercontinental Hotel Manila, Operations Manager of Millenium Plaza Hotel, and Resident Manager of The Executive Plaza Hotel. He has been with the Microtel / Paramount Group for the past 15 years and was assigned as Resident Manager / General Manager for various Microtel properties (Batangas, Boracay, Cebu, Baguio, Tarlac and Cabanatuan). Concurrent to his position as COO of Paramount, he is the General Manager of Microtel Mall of Asia. He holds a Master of Management degree from Asian Institute of Management and BS Hotel & Restaurant Administration degree from the University of the Philippines.
When Paramount manages a property, it supplies trained and experienced people. We derive our strength from our combined experience in managing hotels, resorts and other establishments. Our primary source of management personnel and consultants are those with similar backgrounds. We are proud to provide and deliver service as we have become familiar with and used to in the hospitality industry.
Paramount’s core management team is composed of the same people behind PHINMA Microtel Hotels Inc., Philippine master franchisor of Microtel by Wyndham (an international chain of limited service hotels with 300+ properties worldwide) and TRYP by Wyndham (a lifestyle hotel brand with 50+ properties worldwide including one in Mall of Asia). Another affiliate, PHINMA Hospitality Inc., manages all the Microtel and TRYP by Wyndham hotels in the Philippines. Microtel by Wyndham offers back-to-basics approach: decent, clean, safe and comfortable accommodations at value rates. Presently, it has 14 properties located in key business and leisure destinations: Acropolis QC, Baguio, Batangas, Boracay, Cabanatuan, Eagle Ridge Cavite, Davao, General Santos, Mall of Asia, Pampanga, Puerto Princesa, South Forbes (near Nuvali), Tarlac, and UP Technohub QC
